Scarlet Ibis occur in tropical South America and adjacent Trinidad andTobago. Adults have scarlet plumage. The juveniles are grey and white which gradually change scarlet with ingestion of red crustaceans from the swamps. Nesting occurs in Mangrove and other trees. The birds shown are in the Toucan Ridge tropical house.
